Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with Bay Rag Company. We stand behind the quality of our products and want you to be satisfied with your order. Because we sell industrial supplies (including reclaimed textiles, absorbents, and bulky freight shipments), our return policy is limited and subject to the conditions below.

General Policy

  • Eligibility: Returns are accepted only for unused, unopened products in their original packaging.

  • Return Window: Requests must be made within 14 days of delivery.

  • Approval Required: All returns require prior authorization. Please contact us at orders@bayrag.com or 408-287-2511 before sending any items back. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

  • Condition: Returned goods must be in resaleable condition. We cannot accept returns on items that have been opened, used, soiled, or damaged after delivery.

  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may apply on non-defective returns.

  • Custom or Special Orders: Non-stock, special-order, or customized products are final sale and not returnable.

Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days, less any applicable restocking fees and shipping charges.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Damaged or Defective Goods

  • If your order arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 5 business days of delivery.

  • For goods shipped via carrier, claims for loss or damage must be filed directly with the carrier. Please retain all packaging materials for inspection.

  • For goods delivered by Bay Rag truck, please note any visible issues at the time of delivery and report them immediately.

Freight Shipments

  • For freight shipments and bulky items (including palletized rags), customers are responsible for all return freight costs unless the product was shipped in error or deemed defective by Bay Rag.

  • We recommend reviewing your order carefully before purchasing to avoid unnecessary freight returns.

SpillTech Items

SpillTech products may be shipped directly from the manufacturer. Returns, replacements, or warranty claims for these items are subject to SpillTech’s policies. We will help facilitate the process, but Bay Rag cannot guarantee acceptance of returns for these products.

Exchanges

Exchanges may be available on a case-by-case basis for eligible products. Please contact us to discuss options.

How to Request a Return

  1. Contact us at orders@bayrag.com or 408-287-2511 with your order number and reason for return.

  2. If approved, you will receive return instructions.

  3. Ship the product back using the provided instructions. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was defective or shipped in error.
